Parade of Homes 2021 Recap

Weaver Custom Homes is a proud member of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Wayne & Holmes Counties where we participate annually in the Parade of Homes. This year’s event ran September 17-19 and 24-26 with our featured home in the beautiful Crooked Creek community as the first stop.

Parade homes must measure up to rigid professional standards, which guarantee the most modern, safest and beautiful product of its kind. Along with our fellow member builders, we take particular pride in our Parade homes, and we enjoy sharing them with the public each year.

What is the Parade of Homes?

The Parade of Homes is an annual showcase of new construction and/or remodeled homes. Building organizations around the country host Parade events as a way for their members to display their work proudly to the general public. The presentation allows builders, designers and other professionals to highlight the latest industry trends and popular finishes while also connecting potential clients with builders.

What You Missed at Parade of Homes

If you missed out on the Parade of Homes tour this year, you can still download the 2021 Parade Magazine. While it might not be the same as touring each home in-person, it gives you a list of each participating builder, each floor plan and the building specs, plus much more.

Parade of Homes Tour

The HBA of Wayne and Holmes Counties Parade is always held over two weekends in the fall, and typically includes around nine builders – as we saw this year. The featured homes were located across a scattered site throughout Wooster, Smithville, Orrville and Marshallville. Several thousand attendees navigate the Parade route each season.

Our Custom Home Build

This year, Weaver featured a 1,963-square-foot custom-built ranch home with 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 baths. We wanted to showcase the Crooked Creek community in Wooster as it has available homesites ready for purchase. The featured ranch home’s accessibility and size is appealing to customers at any stage of life. The open floor plan boasts large windows allowing a lot of natural light in, and the rear covered patio extends the living space outdoors.

Special finishes include:

  • custom wood detailing in great room
  • easy-care laminate and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring
  • quartz countertops
  • a custom cultured marble shower

Our entire team was involved in various stages throughout the 6-7 months-long homebuilding process, from the original design and drafting to finishing touches. Our designer staged and decorated the entire home for the Parade.

Weaver Custom Homes

Weaver Custom Homes’ founder, Ben Weaver, was a founding member of the local HBA in the 1970s and has participated in the Parade of Homes since its inception.

Our homes are not only beautiful but also very livable, designed for the way you live today and for years to come. Whether you had a chance to attend the Parade and see our work firsthand or not, we invite you to learn about our team and see how we can collaborate with you on a custom building project in Northeast or Central Ohio.
