Meeting
with Your New Home Consultant
Great design starts
with planning. You start upfront by meeting
with your New Home Consultant
who will lead you through the design and
building process. This includes establishing
a budget objective, exploring design ideas
and available home sites. We have a portfolio
of home plans to
start from, or if you have something in
mind we will work together to create your
very own dream
home that reflects the needs and dreams
of your family.

Plan/
Development Meeting
After you have a preliminary
plan, your New Home Consultant
will meet with you to go over the details.
It’s a good idea to bring your
"wish list". This list
should include the items you must have such
as, hardwood flooring, finished basement,
etc. It is also helpful to know the items
you would like to have, things like 3-car
garage, custom built-ins, etc., but could
live without if they don’t fit into
your budget objective. From the information
gathered at this meeting your Sales Consultant
can determine the estimated cost of your
new home. This ensures that your design
ideas are incorporated within your building
budget and allows us to move forward into
the 4th step of drawing your final plans.

Design,
Engineering & Drafting
Final construction
plans are necessary to finalize pricing,
contract preparation and financing
application. Weaver Custom Homes features
our own in-house drafting design department
specifically for transforming your design
ideas into workable construction plans.

Mortgage
Pre-qualification
We recommend setting
up an appointment with a lender early in
the process to get pre-qualified. Discuss
with your mortgage representative how much
you want to borrow, for how long and
what programs they have to offer. We can
provide a list of local lenders who have
offered other Weaver customers exceptional
service. To prepare your purchase agreement,
your New Home Consultant
will need to know if you will be getting
lender financing or making payments on a
draw schedule from your own assets.

 |
Sign
the Contract
The custom drawings
of your home are now finished. Your New
Home Consultant will review
the plans with you and get final approval.
At the point of signing your construction
contract certain decisions will need to
be finalized such as: windows, some exterior
materials and some plumbing
items. We provide you with a detailed line
item quote and specifications so you know
exactly
what is going into your new home. At this
time, your New Home Consultant
will collect earnest money deposit.

Finalize
Financing
To make final application
for your loan your lender will need a signed
contract, specific address
and construction drawings. Your mortgage
representative will ask you for the standard
documentation: your latest income tax returns,
your credit history, etc.

Selections
& Design Center Appointment
Our Selections
Coordinator will guide you through
the selection process. This includes selecting
everything from the brick, shingles, ceramic
tile and paint colors. You will receive
a selection schedule so you will know your
decision deadlines well in advance. During
these meetings you may decide on optional
or upgraded selections that were not in
your contract. If so, the Selections
Coordinator will prepare a change
order and collect payment for these items.

Home
Construction
Once you have made
your selections and obtained loan approval,
it is time to watch your home
being built. We have found that one of the
keys to building integrity and a strong
relationship with our customers is good
communication. We will be in frequent communication
with you throughout the process of building
your home. We know you’re anxious
to watch the progress on your new home.
Keep in mind that it is a "construction
site" and therefore can be dangerous.
Please visit during hours when our craftsmen
are not at work.
